Angry Seas :: Lake Superior was angry this week. This shot is of Hunter's Point at noon on Monday, September 28th.

Shaggy Manes

Shaggy Manes :: A walk in the woods this time of year is special. All along the trail you will see many different kinds of mushrooms. This year is a banner year with lots of giant Puffballs, and these lacy Shaggy Manes, Coprinus Comatus, an edible delicacy when young. Eating wild mushrooms is not recommended unless you have positively identified it as edible.
